Authorities closed New Super AcuCare on Oxford Valley Road in Fairless Hills and West Trenton Day Spa on West Trenton Avenue in Morrisville on Friday, March 11 after Falls Township police determined that the businesses were "promoting prostitution and human trafficking," they said.

Investigators say they recovered "a multitude of evidence" to support those claims during a warranted search of both businesses.

They also discovered a slew of code violations, including evidence that the employees were living inside both businesses, police said.

The investigations have been going on for months, authorities said.

Last December, Hilltown police served a search warrant at the Tranquil Oasis Spa on Bethlehem Pike in Hatfield after a "lengthy investigation" revealed possible prostitution and related activity at the business, Daily Voice previously reported.

It was unclear if criminal charges were filed in either case.
